Its the night of 31st December 2009.I started for International airport,Mumbai with my son Adhiraj(3yrs),when the whole world was in a mood to celebrate the new year 2010.Every formalities are done within an hour.My flight was via Dubai.My new year morning starts landing at Dubai airport,which is really a very beautiful n big airport.I had a connecting flight to Heathrow,London.After 8hrs journey i reached London to meet my husband Indrajit.After completing every formalities we came out for exit.Really its too cold that our face was chilled,but its a sunny day.Here i experienced a different type of coldwave,which is very nice to experience.We reached at Wembley Park flat around 2pm.After having our lunch we started to plan for the next day which was my husband's birthday.
2nd Jan is his birthday.On saturday we went to visit London Bridge n Tower Bridge.We went by tube,metropolitan lines till Bakers Street n then we changed the tube,Jubilee line for London Bridge station.After reaching there we walked down through the streets of a foreign Land,which is an amazing experience.I was looking at the people of London as well as viewing the beauty of London Bridge which i used to see that in our books only,thats now in front of me.My son was also enjoying the scenic beauty n cold of London as well.We were on the bank of River Thames.People were doing ice-skating.Nearby the bridge St.Paul's Cathedral is there.It was too cold that we were sizzling,temp was -1degree.we returned home in the afternoon for the arrangement of birthday Party.
On Sunday morning we planned for a guided tour of Lord's Cricket Ground.Its nearby tube station is St.John's Wood.We reached there at 11.50am,booked our ticket.Our tour was started at 12pm,with the Guide of MCC. He showed us the room where the queen used to sit at the time of playing.Then entered into the Green room of players,the Real tennis play ground.Then we moved towards the Investec Media Center from where the commentry is done.Its a renowned stadium with its own history.We visited the museum to see the Ashes urn,which has a nice history to be known.after 2 hrs of tour we started for home,as our friends are coming in the evening for the belated birthday party.
Except the view of such lovely places, coldwave of London is very nice.Its thrilling cold.In the evening we had a party with our friends n their families.My dream of coming here n celebrating my husband's birthday is fulfilled.Now am waiting for the next weekend to come n visit more places like Buckingham Palace,London Eye,Piccadilly,Oxford Circus etc.
